Aps and apps + Tour @ Simple

On February 8, CoreNet’s Young Leaders of Oregon enjoyed a behind the scenes tour of Simple, the tech-bank without any bank branches. They make banking easy and their corporate office located off SE 3rd Ave supports their employees to do just that. Sarah Drew, Director of Workplace Experience, led an amazing tour through their existing space, followed by a walk through their almost completed expansion in the adjacent building. The headquarter office is filled with collaboration, private spaces, incredible amenities, invigorating Portland views and a rooftop equipped with an AstroTurf dog run for office guests to enjoy!

Following, we heard from two experts on work-productivity apps:

Stephen Green, Community Builder, WeWork

WeWork uses a multi-function workflow app for in-building purchases, conference room bookings, and much more.

Darren Buckner, CEO and Founder, Workfrom

Workfrom locates and ranks workplaces from coffee shops, to building lobbies, to parks each with clear descriptions and pros/cons depending on your workstyle.

Looking into 2018, we are excited to keep working to bring powerful content and young professionals together at our upcoming Young Leaders Events.

Join us next time to meet like-minded young leaders throughout the City of Portland.

Workplace Trends
Tour + Panel Discussion

CoreNet’s Young Leaders of Oregon had the pleasure of hosting a dynamic panel discussion and site tour Friday September 29th at WeWork’s Custom House in Portland.

We had the pleasure of hearing from three industry leading experts:

Tracy Wymer, VP of Workplace Strategy with Knoll

David Remos, Director of Global Real Estate with adidas

Suzanne Blair, Associate Principal with SERA Architects

The conversation was filled with creative dialogues and discussion around belonging, work styles, work tools, flexibility and the evolution of co-working as they relate to workspace and design. These key topics currently dominate design and corporate strategy across the country.

Following the panel discussion, those in attendance were able to see firsthand how WeWork is evolving Co-Working, challenging the traditional thinking behind shared space on a corporate portfolio.

Join us next time to participate in our forward thinking and expansive programs.
